About the Client: My client is one of the most well-established companies within the Heritage sector, specialising in Stonework and Restoration. They have a wealth of experience and strong specialist teams able to undertake high-profile conversation and repair projects.

About the Role: They are actively seeking a Quantity Surveyor with 5 years or more experience to work on high quality external refurbishment projects on behalf of prestigious clients situated throughout London and the South East of England.

Experience within Facades, Stonework and Restoration sector is desirable.

This role is reportable to the Associate Director but will be directly responsible for managing allocated projects and the associated workload involved including Principal Contracts, Large/Design Orientated Contracts, Secure, Contracts, Traditional Core Work, Major Works or Sub-Contract Work

About the Requirements:

* Liaise with the estimating department and attend hand over to take responsibility of projects from contract award through to Final Account agreement.

* Review the CVB with the estimating department.

* Review and compilation of supply chain contract documentation with the estimating department ensuring these are duly executed in line with what was agreed at tender stage.

* Manage the appointment of sub-contractors with the respective orders and associated documentation.

* Ensure the application process is undertaken from submission, certification to payment being received.

* Manage and administer sub-contractor accounts throughout the project to final account stage.

* Source further quotations to ensure value for money and any buying gain when priced using a specific sub-contractor at tender stage.

* Undertake building surveys and inspections.

* Prepare and produce reports/inspection findings for client issue.

* Attend site visits as necessary.

* Attend client meetings as necessary.

* Review programmes and contractual dates ensuring any overruns are covered by EOT's, delay letters.

* Carry out measurement, pricing, and valuation of post contract variation.

* Check and sign off invoices and subcontract accounts and if required, issuing payless notices.

* Agree Final Accounts

* Follow the company's quality assurance process on all projects.

* Attend any Surveying team or interdepartmental meeting as required.

* Facilitate own development, skills and knowledge by attending training events.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience
