The Exciting Opportunity

Reporting to the Reservations Manager, the Reservations Agentis a key contributor to the hotel's reservation function, maximising the hotel's financial performance, as well as providing key support to the Revenue and Reservations team.

Duties include:

• Deliver a consistently high level of excellence to ensure complete satisfaction of both internal and external customers and to maximize the financial performance of the hotel.
• To ensure all the telephone calls are answered and handled in a timely manner and in accordance with the brand standards.
• Ensure all new bookings check carried out in accordance with departmental and brand standards.
• Ensure all reservations enquiries are dealt with a prompt and professional manner in accordance with brand standards.
• To be fully conversant with Marriott individual reservations procedure and systems.
• Support Reservations office during any staffing shortfall by taking additional tasks and projects.
• To ensure upselling and cross selling targets are achieved.
• To complete other projects when and when required.

Who Are We Looking For?

To be considered for this role you will need:

• A self-motivated, enthusiatsic outlook
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an impeccable telephone manner
• Goal-orientated and a true team player.
• A very strong and positive guest focus.
• Knowledge of MARSHA, EMPOWER Reservations, Group Housing, GXP and Opera is desirable.
• Experience in a similar role for a Marriott hotel or Marriott office is desirable.

Where Will You Be Working?

The Westin London City Hotel & Residences is a key part of the redevelopment of the former Queensbridge House site, as well as an independently operated destination restaurant. The site stretches from Queenhithe Dock - the oldest in London - and runs north to south, bridging across Upper Thames Street and giving it a prominent position over one of the primary arterial routes through the City of London. Highly visible from the South Bank, the hotel benefits from panoramic views over the River Thames and completes the northern riverbank walkway between the Tower of London and Millennium Bridge.

The hotel is the first under Marriott's Westin brand in the UK. The hotel's 222 guest rooms, including 10 suites and Presidential Suite, are designed to offer guests a nature-inspired respite in the centre of a bustling city, expertly balancing a calming palette of natural colours with contrasting tones, textures and materials. The development also includes a fitness and leisure suite, conference facilities, plus a restaurant and wine bar with spectacular views over the River Thames.

The hotel features an indoor swimming pool, idyllic 375m² spa and WestinWORKOUT® fitness studio with state-of-the-art TRX® exercise equipment. In addition, 830m² of ultra-modern meeting and event space is available, including a Junior Ballroom and four meeting rooms, as well as a 24-hour business centre.
