ActionAid UK is a member of the ActionAid Federation, an international charity that works with women and girls living in poverty.

As part of the ActionAid Federation, we work with women and girls, our partners, and dedicated staff in 43 countries to end violence and fight poverty so that all women, everywhere, can create the future they want.

We are looking for a confident and experienced direct marketing / individual giving fundraiser to help lead our work developing and delivering key aspects of the Retention business plan and Individual Giving strategy.

Reporting to the Head of Retention, you will plan and deliver integrated appeals including virtual giving (trading) products marketing, retention campaigns, and developing engaging supporter journeys (with an initial focus on nursery/first 12-months supporter life-cycle). Working to maximise lifetime value and ROI by achieving income and retention targets and objectives, and providing seamless and positive experiences for all supporters throughout their relationship with AAUK.

A keen eye for supporter and behavioural data, spotting trends, reporting and analysing fundraising data will be really important in helping you understand our audiences and supporters.

You will do this by working with a diverse stakeholders including Retention, Acquisition, members of supporting teams, AA-federation members, suppliers, and agencies. Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build excellent relationships based on mutual respect and trust are required to excel in this role.

Your experience planning, monitoring, and forecasting for budgets will allow you to meet targets and your resilience will allow you to constantly strive for improvement and deliver.

Limited national and international travel may be required with prior notice. Some out of hours working during evening and weekends may be required, particularly as we are a team that is active during emergency humanitarian fundraising appeals.
