About the Role The Senior consultant/consultants are instrumental members of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution team within the broader EMEA Insurance practice. You will be actively involved in both contentious and non contentious matters for our clients, working closely with senior members of the team in both EMEA and the US, as well as directly with clients. The team is led by a group of highly experienced and diverse set of individuals from insurers, consultancies, corporate and legal backgrounds, who have significant relationships with leading clients and legal advisors across the insurance sector. We are involved in advising insurers and lawyers in strategic, mission-critical areas. This is an excellent opportunity to build out our expert services focused on (re)insurance and dispute resolution. What You'll Do Be an integral part of the delivery of client projects by providing expertise on technical insurance issues and perform forensic analysis. Areas of focus will include: underwriting, claims and technical areas of (re)insurance, reserving and application of contract terms. Supporting the Expert Witness in Proceedings and support in report drafting and compilation. Consolidation and reconciliation of disparate sources of information. Forensic review of policy, premium, claim and accounting information, reports and correspondence. Attend meetings and interact with clients and external advisors on transactional and technical issues. Support the ongoing development of new client opportunities with an extensive contact network of (re)insurance, accounting and legal community relationships. Contribute to the development of effective and co-operative relationships across the wider Insurance practice. Qualifications & Experience Preferably prior work experience from 1 to 4 years in the financial services sector; e.g. insurer, reinsurer, broker, accountancy, management consultancies and law firms . Knowledge of and experience in the insurance industry is preferred but not required. Strong analytical and forensic review skills. Solid MS excel skills and prior experience in data management and analysis. Excellent interpersonal communication skills able to influence others, handle challenges & conflicting priorities comfortably.
