Job DescriptionThe role of Commercial Business Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the Commercial Excellence Lead in coordinating, designing and delivering the commercial excellence activities that enhance customer engagement and facilitate data driven decision making for International Commercial Cell and Gene Therapies. This role will be primarily responsible for overseeing all activities associated to the CRM (customer relationship management) processes for the Cell & Gene Therapy business. Furthermore, this role will have varied responsibilities to support the CGT commercial organization including, customer target setting, implementing field force territory alignments, and strengthening engagement competencies of field based roles.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for prioritizing CRM improvements based on business priorities and user (Field team) feedbackResponsible for developing user stories, acceptance criteria and ordering of product backlogSitting member of the CRM development team, responsible for sprint planning and sprint review discussions.Proactively identifies new improvements to platforms, leveraging CRM subject matter expertiseAligns business priority decisions with IT, cross-functional teams across the Heme launch (including International GMA)Oversees DTE User Acceptance Testing for CRM at each release and the successful rollout of the release to the end usersResponsible for smooth operation of all administrative functions within CGT CRMMaintain effective execution communication to ensure alignment works with other Commercial Business operations managersEDUCATION:Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, advertising or related discipline with 3 to 6 years related experience - requiredAdvanced degree preferredSKILLS & EXPEREINCE:Minimum Requirements:Extensive sales/marketing commercial operations experience in a dynamic environmentStrong familiarity with CRM processesStrong familiarity with Patient support processesStrong familiarity with Supply chain processesExcellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skillsExtensive direct experience with pharmaceutical data sourcing, integration, analysis, and reportingAbility and desire to understand the product needs of the future and influence all stakeholders to prioritize themUnderstanding of Web & Mobile technologiesPreferred Qualifications:Attention to detail and committed follow-through in communications to stakeholdersPro-actively identifies issues and solves themAbility to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment; focus on multi-tasking and self-prioritized workloadMarketing experience strongly preferredStrategic mindset with strong focus on executionScientific aptitude and working knowledge of Cell & Gene therapies area (preferable)TravelPosition is based in London Paddington and travel of 20-30% may be required for country visits and training sessions.#LI-JR1Company InformationVertex is a global biotechnology company that invests in scientific innovation.Vertex is committed to equal employment opportunity and non-discrimination for all employees and qualified applicants without regard to a person's race, color, sex, gender identity or expression, age, religion, national origin, ancestry, ethnicity, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, marital status, or any characteristic protected under applicable law.
