Job description
Join our Macquarie Risk Management team as a commercially minded and dynamic Workplace Health Safety professional.
As a regional lead, you will be responsible for embedding our Global Workplace Health Safety Policy and strategy across Macquarie's operations and investments in EMEA, ensuring we are compliant with local legislation and have systems in place to effectively identify, assess and control material Workplace Health Safety risks.
Reporting directly to the Global Workplace Health Safety Director, you will be working close with risk stakeholders and EMEA transaction teams to provide ongoing expert advice on Workplace Health Safety matters for new transactions and existing asset management. You will lead or support initiatives such as training programs, work streams and system developments supporting the Workplace Health Safety strategy. You will also provide oversight on the implementation of the Macquarie Global Workplace Health Safety policy in the region. Staying on top of key regulatory developments within the region is also a key requirement, to ensure you are keeping pace with requirements and best practice.
You will show leadership around Workplace Health Safety to help deepen ownership and accountability within the different business groups in EMEA. Working with colleagues globally you will also strengthen existing processes and introduce enhancements as required to bring practices to a consistent level groupwide level.
With a tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as engineering, you will have a minimum of 10 years proven experience as a Workplace Health Safety professional in either an internal or external advisory capacity or as part of a broader operations role with exposure to infrastructure and renewables. You would also be required to have proven experience succeeding in a complex stakeholder environment, with strong relationship building and influencing skills and the ability to drive change. You will ideally have experience of implementing Health and Safety management systems, working with teams during development, construction and operations phases of projects.
