* Work closely with the Regular Giving and Stewardship Manager and other colleagues to develop strategic and engaging messaging for stewardship communications.
* Raise awareness and understanding of the benefits of philanthropy among internal and external constituencies, and in doing so, enhance and improve the overall culture of support and giving to the University.
* Ensure that all donors are aware of the impact of their support.
* Manage and enhance the development of University-wide acknowledgement processes, to include special donor recognition initiatives and reporting annually to all supporters.
* Develop stewardship materials to be used across a range of audiences, including the creation of print and email communications.
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience delivering a successful programme of stewardship, in the charity or higher education sectors.
* A working knowledge and experience of handling confidential information in line with the Data Protection Act and willingness to acquire knowledge of any subsequent laws and regulations regarding the handling of personal data.
* Excellent relationship management skills, including the ability to work closely and collegiately with colleagues as part of a team and across the wider organisation.
* Experience of building and managing mutually beneficial partnerships and networks, both internally and externally, to create opportunities for the University.
* Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with staff at all levels.
* Experience using constituent relationship manager (CRM) databases
* An interest in higher education or charity sector fundraising and alumni relations, demonstrated by an awareness of the "big picture" issues relating to the HE sector generally (desirable).
* Experience creating communications (print and/or digital) for constituents (desirable).

This is a full-time permanent position (35 hrs per week) paying £30,805 per annum.
