Job description

As a Barclays Tax Operations Analyst you will be responsible for the collection, calculation and payment of monies related to French and Italian (and soon) Spanish Financial Transaction Taxes ('FTT'). Due to upcoming Regulatory changes (primarily Spanish FTT) and the expected processing volume increases, we are recruiting for a Permanent position. The successful candidate will join a team of 3 individuals to perform our BAU tasks and processes.

What will you be doing?
• Being responsible for production of monthly submissions to the Tax Authorities
• Recording, journaling and reconciling monies received
• Answering queries from the Business/Trading desks regarding taxation
• Excelling in client service
• Suggesting improvements and some assistance with project work
• Building and maintaining good relationships with in house Tax teams, Middle Offices, Trading desks and other Front Office facing teams
• Managing the expectations of Tax Ops Management
• You will be resolving conflict, building relationships, leveraging network to ultimately deliver on the objectives and goals of the department

What we're looking for:
• Detailed knowledge of front to back equity processing, particularly in a multi entity environment
• Understanding of client money procedures
• Proven experience of problem solving and delivering process change
• Degree qualified (2:1 or above)

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Demonstrable experience of stakeholder management
• Good understanding of equities and other markets products
• Experience of project work
