Job Description
The UK Compliance Manager will be responsible for:

  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of the Corporate Compliance and Risk assessment framework for the UK branch;
  • Design and delivery of risk and compliance frameworks to support Third Country Branch status for the UK;
  • Assist in the deployment and operation of the Bank's Compliance program including but not exclusively regulatory change, risk and compliance assessments;
  • Act as designated point of contact with local regulatory bodies and in conjunction with the Regulatory Services team;
  • Facilitate, participate and consult in the execution of the Second Line of Defence assurance and monitoring programs;
  • Provide leadership of the Conduct Risk Program within the Branch through promotion, guidance, assurance, oversight and challenge;
  • Promote a culture of compliance in the branch through active engagement with management and staff providing advice and guidance and training;
  • Preparation and delivery of Compliance reports in the format of the firm and within reporting deadlines agreed;
The Successful Applicant
The UK Compliance Manager should have the following skills:
  • 6+ years experience in a Compliance role within Financial Services is essential, preferably within a Credit Institution, Payment Services firm, or MiFID Investment Firm;
  • Experience of UK Regulatory regime and proven experience of regulatory engagement at senior level;
  • Knowledge of key compliance and regulatory topics, including Deposit taking, PSD 2, MiFID II and CASS;
  • History of practical application of Compliance risk management practices;
  • Proven track record of working on own initiative and delivering practical outcomes to a professional standard;
  • Excellent project management skills with a strong emphasis on prioritisation, communication and delivery
  • Third level qualification (degree or similar) in a relevant subject (e.g. law, business, finance, etc.); Masters and / or relevant professional qualifications would be an advantage; with a Diploma in Compliance (or similar) beneficial.
