Development Chef

To take overall responsibility and leadership of the ASOS food vision & kitchen teams. Development of culinary initiatives which set the ASOS customer journey apart, ensuring a unique & memorable customer experience.

Based at ASOS GLH (Camden) and ASOS Leavesden (Watford)

As a Development Chef you will support the Operations Director in the development of culinary initiatives that contribute to business growth and operational excellence, you also get involved in training, mobilisation of sites and new openings, all while working with the very best teams across the area.

You will also:

Assist in the development of culinary projects as agreed with the Operations Director
Responsible for the creation and development of innovative products
Continuously update your industry knowledge on current food trends and ingredients.
Control and achieve agreed financial targets whilst maximising all commercial opportunities.
Develop and evolve all client services at locations while providing cover, ensuring regular adjustments and improvements are both recommended and implemented.
Ensure that the location meets statutory and company requirements of Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislation and procedures.

As a Development Chef you are focused and have a great desire is to work with the freshest and best ingredients. Food's provenance is critical to you and the closer to your kitchen, the better. You understand that being a great chef is not just about cooking but the ability to work with a team, manage costs, negotiate and build relationship with suppliers as well as being compliant, from both a Food Hygiene and Food safety perspective. You will possess a NVQ3/BTEC/City & Guilds/HND/Degree or equivalent, have a Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate or above and have previous experience as a Development or Head Chef.
