Pay £85-91 per day via PAYE

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: experience of working with Autism and challenging behaviour, Team Teach trained and knowledge of Makaton.

The role

Smart Teachers are seeking to recruit skilled and experienced Special Needs Support Assistants to support children at both Key Stage 1 and 2 on a 1:1 basis. The children as a whole are mainly on the Autistic spectrum and will need dedicated and knowledgeable individuals to support them both in and out of class when required. The role will be 5 days a week, 0. Successful candidates need to remain professional at all times and display a calm expertise when supporting vulnerable children.

It is two-form entry in size and has an attached provision for children who display a broad range of additional needs from mild to the more severe. Requirements

To be considered for the Special Needs Support Assistant position, you will:

Have knowledge of working with children with Autism
Be team teach trained and Makaton trained to a moderate/advanced level
