Group Financial Accountant (12 months contract), \u00A350,000, West London

Your new company
A Group Financial Accountant is required for a national industry leader based in West London. This is a great opportunity to join a private equity based, rapidly growing company, with a passion for branding and luxury. Working in the head office, you will be managing the company's day-to-day financial operations, working amongst a team of bright accountants, and reporting to the Group Finance Manager (GFM) and occasionally the Group Financial Director (GFD).

Your new role
Your role as Group Financial Accountant will be broad with a range of responsibilities such as:

* Working amongst a team of passionate and resourceful accountants to deliver day-to-day accounting reports
* Preparing monthly statutory reports and balance sheet reconciliations to be presented to GFM and GFD
* Ensuring stock invoices are input and managed in sage accurately and preparing revenue reconciliations
* Reviewing and analysing amounts due to be paid to stock suppliers and update GFM on a weekly basis
* Conducting supplier payments, reconciling supplier accounts, and ensure all creditors are paid timely to be done on a weekly basis and reported to GFD
* Ensure daily bank account reconciliations on all UK and foreign bank accounts
* Assisting the GFM and GFD with preparing monthly submissions of reports to Office of National Statistics
* Support the GFM and GFD in preparing UK&I payroll as well as other necessary HMRC processes

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed as a Group Financial Accountant here, you MUST have the following:

* An accounting body qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
* Ideally, experience in the retail and distributions industry
* Proficient knowledge of Excel and accounting systems (Sage, Xero, etc)
