£40k to £45k per annum + Car Allowance

Our client, a reputable domestic property maintenance company are now looking to add a Small Works Manager to their team.

Managing around 80 jobs at any one time, your main job purpose will be project managing and inspecting subcontractors work.

Job Description:

The role is responsible for managing planned maintenance works within social housing units (and blocks). You will be responsible for identifying/specifying works that address concerns within Victorian, Georgian and Edwardian street properties and low rise apartment blocks. Much of the work our maintenance teams undertake day to day covers basic repairs.

The role of our Small Works Manager will be to inspect identified properties and recommend remedial action to address areas of concern. This could involve recommending basic repairs, right the way through to major structural works, significant roofing repairs/replacement, damp proofing and other building works.

Where works can be undertaken in-house, you will provide recommendations to the nominated repairs supervisors and manage these from inception to completion. Where the work is of a specialist nature, you would identify suitable subcontractors to undertake the works, spot inspecting these works to ensure they are carried out to the highest quality standards.
