The Role
This post is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us as a Moving and handling trainer.
The purpose of the job is to actively promote the prevention/reduction of harm from manual and patient handling injuries in the workplace. We are working in partnership with Bromley Healthcare on a range of staff upskill and passages to recruitment programmes for new staff. One area that we have a lot of interest in is Moving and Handling Level 2 - please see below summary of requirements and competencies: The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high quality moving and handling skills and training to existing and pipeline staff within the Bromley Healthcare Trust and will be expected to promote and advise on safe evidence-based practice. This training must lead to Moving and Handling Level 2 qualification. They will facilitate and evaluate effectiveness of all aspects of training in manual and patient handling with training in use of hoists, slings, beds, standing frames, banana board transfer, in order to ensure that all Trust staff are trained to an appropriate level and which meets mandatory training requirements.
Skills and Experience
You must have significant experience within a clinical area and sound knowledge of moving & handling techniques and awareness of health and safety. You will be an enthusiastic and confident trainer, the ability to be an effective and positive team player, the ability to communicate effectively with professionals, and a willingness to work flexibly according to demand pressures. This programme of training will be held at London South East Colleges campuses at Orpington campus.
This role is a casual contract and therefore we can offer varied hours.
