St Bartholomew's Hospital is part of the Bart's Health group of hospitals that serves an area that is rich in diversity, providing services to a broad and diverse multicultural community for people living in East London and beyond. It is an internationally renowned teaching Hospital which offers a full range of local and specialist services for the treatment of cancer , heart conditions, fertility problems and endocrinology conditions.
We do not offer A&E services. Admissions to the ward are either direct admissions using the emergency pathway, elective from home, in-patient transfers from our referring hospitals, or admissions from the out-patients department.
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistants with excellent communication skills and the ability to work using your own initiative as well as working effectively within a team. Ideal applicants will understand the importance of patient centred care. We will provide you with excellent development opportunities and a team that lives and works by our values.
The state-of-the-art Bart's Heart Centre is located in King George V wing of the Hospital, we currently have vacancies in 4B Ward. This ward is a busy 20 bedded Cardiothoracic surgical ward specialising in preoperative and postoperative surgical patients. Patients are routinely admitted for scheduled cardiac surgery or transferred from other hospitals as we are a leading specialised cardiac centre.
