Interaction Designer Job, Large Government Agency, 6 month fully remote contract - \u00A3450-630 per day inside

Your new company

A large UK government department is looking for an excellent Interaction Designer to join a multi-disciplinary team.

Your new role

You'll work in an agile environment, in a multi-disciplinary team alongside researchers and developers, delivering user-centred public services. You'll ensure services are simple, intuitive, and accessible for every one on every device, and be an advocate for accessibility in all aspects of the design of a service.

Main responsibilities include:

* Create and iterate coded prototypes to test and communicate ideas
* Communicate design decisions to digital and business colleagues
* Deliver design work in line with GDS and web standards
* Contribute to cross government interaction design patterns and standards

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will:

* Have a design related degree or relevant industry experience
* Be able to prototype on paper and in HTML & CSS
* Be able to work quickly in an agile environment
* Be able to clearly communicate ideas
* Know how to interpret user research
* Explain design decisions and be able to represent a service at a service assessment
* Engage the whole multi-disciplinary team with the design process
