International Finance Officers
Location: Moorfields, London - with home working
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)
Contract type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum (including London Weighting)

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for two analytical and solutions focussed individuals to join the British Red Cross as International Finance Officers, supporting the International Finance Team in providing effective financial transaction and administrative support. One role will cover the Middle East and North Africa regions while the second role will cover the Eastern and Southern Africa regions.

The work you will do will be crucial to the work of the organisation, and therefore vital to the lives of those in crisis.

How you'll make a difference…

Reporting to the International Programme Accountant, you will provide an effective financial accounting and reporting service to the regional and respective Global Teams.

In this rewarding role you will provide a diverse range of financial services including invoicing, month-end accounting and reporting processes, monthly review of financial performance with budget holders, balance sheet reconciliations, processing cashbooks, processing cash requests and grants, assisting with donor reporting, monthly journals and accruals, year-end accounting processes, financial controls and supporting the BRC audit processes.

What you'll bring to the role…

- You'll be at minimum a part qualified CCAB qualified accountant
- Sound knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (sound double-entry book-keeping)
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Experience of bookkeeping or working in an accounting function
- Experience in carrying out balance sheet reconciliations
- Experience of foreign currency monitoring and accounting
- Experience of preparing financial reports
