Job description

*We are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Director for a position with a global CRO. The role would be home based in the UK. The Company is experiencing tremendous growth and has further expansion plans. They have an exciting innovative culture with entrepreneurial leadership. *

*Key Job Responsibilities:*

* Actively generate new clients in order to generate new business prospects for assigned accounts

* Achieve annual sales plan and sales targets for assigned accounts.

* Establish, nurture and grow client relationships at the appropriate levels.

Supports an established client base where appropriate

* Work as a team player with Business development team for generation of proposals, bid-defence meetings, proposal revision and analysis of budget and payment schedules

Set and manages customer expectations.

* Collaborate with companywide resources to achieve superior customer satisfaction.

* Organise and host client visits.

* Evaluate quotations for territory and provides input to ensure client and company requirements are met.

* Ability to avoid misunderstanding and assumptions regarding client expectations and budgets

* Have a drive to be results focused whilst remaining objective

*Experience Required:*

* Degree in life science or business field preferred

* Advanced industry knowledge

* Previous CRO sales experience

* Demonstrated client retention skills

* Ability to manage difficult client and/or financial situations

* Demonstrated ability to acquire and grow client base

* Experience selling services directly to the pharmaceutical and biotech section with direct interaction with mid-level and executive level decision makers

The successful candidate will be rewarded with an excellent package that includes a basic salary of up to £100K (dependant on skills and experience) plus Car Allowance, and OTE Circa £100K. For further details please contact .
