We're looking for an experienced project editor to work closely with authors across a range of exciting and innovative books and audio products. This is a key role within the editorial team and would suit someone with a minimum of five years' experience in an editorial role, ideally in a book publishing environment.

The role involves:

  • Managing frontlist and repackage titles through all stages of the editorial workflow, from raw manuscript to approval of files for print.

  • Developing ideas for and commissioning new audio content for the trade and Hay House audio app in collaboration with commissioning editors and other departments.
  • Writing engaging, relevant and informative copy for a variety of platforms.
  • Building/maintaining excellent relationships with authors, and internal and external colleagues.

You will have:

  • A meticulous eye for detail and accuracy, and a strong visual sense.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise your workload effectively and work to tight deadlines, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Creative thinking skills - from sourcing ideas for audio products to day-to-day problem solving.
  • The ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative and flexible way.
  • Knowledge of the mind, body, spirit field and proficiency in InDesign, Asana, Biblio and MS Office would be advantageous.

If you fulfil the above requirements and are interested in joining our team, please send your CV and cover letter by an email via the button below.
