Job description
We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to support our Consulting line of service to drive the go-to-market strategy and execute sales campaigns in the sector and across the line of service. These roles require somebody with business development (BD) and sales experience to drive pipeline growth, build our profile and deliver revenue-generating activities in fast-moving sectors at the earliest part of our sales lifecycle.You will need to be tenacious and driven, with strong influencing skills and impact. You will work with some of the best in the business, and your stakeholder management will need to be at its best. At any time, you will have a portfolio of work covering local cluster-specific priorities, your industry sector needs whilst also activating any national line of service campaigns to maximise value to your support cluster.The successful candidate will report to the Activation Hub leader of the cluster.
Impact of the role
The primary purpose of the role will be to collaborate with the Sector Leaders, Activation Hub, and broader Sales & Marketing community to best position PwC by campaigning, identifying and developing service revenues on strategic client accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Work with our go-to-market leaders to drive strategies and sales campaign plans.
Work with our account management communities to grow the line of service revenues on strategic accounts.
Identify & support new key account opportunities that support your line of services priorities.
Identify & drive sales campaigns that leverage the thought leadership, event programme and campaigns created by both Industry and line of service marketing teams
Activate industry-led & line of service led marketing campaigns and sales campaigns to help drive medium to long-term sub-sector level profiles in the market
Analyse pipeline trends, highlight insights and track ROI on all sales/campaign activity
Engage with Strategic Alliance Partners to grow digitally-led transformation pipeline
Skills & Experience Required
Significant experience in BD and selling - ideally in a professional services environment, but this is not essential
Building and executing sales campaigns and lead generation activities
Use of CRM systems to drive and track relationships and campaigns. Providing insight and world-class basics around CRM will be an advantage.
How to approach, then drive a sales campaign leading to one to one client conversations.
A commercial outlook with a focus on results
Strong relationship and influencing skills
Resilience and tenacity
Good communication and team ethos
Foundation knowledge of marketing campaigns, thought leadership and events.
Familiarisation with portfolio management, understanding the market demand and capture planning will be an advantage.
Experience/background in the Industry of the role would be advantageous but not essential.
*This position can be based in any of our regional hubs but may require some travel to our London offices
This role supports our Consulting line of service as a part of the Private Cluster Activation hub. Your day to day will be spent as a part of the Consulting Activation Hubs and is a team of 30 people, including permanent sales and bid professionals and secondees, focused on developing and executing the Consulting sales strategy across our industry sectors.
This role sits within the Sales capability, part of Sales & Marketing, PwC's centralised support function, and covers all aspects of professional services marketing, sales support and business development. We work together with the Clients and Markets Executive to build and sustain competitive advantage. We execute our go-to-market strategy using our expertise, talent and assets to drive commercial outcomes, for us and our clients. The Sales capability operates with a culture focused on client-centricity and our clients issues, ensuring we are operating with a commercial mindset and a consistent level of quality and excellence in all we do. We work together to ensure these attributes are present in all activities and interactions, every day.
