Job description
We are looking for an energetic, tenacious and well motivated business development professional to drive the sales and markets agenda, role modelling and leading sales excellence to drive incremental growth.
This role is critical in working alongside senior leadership to drive pipeline origination, growth and conversion and engagement with the Priority Client Programme. You will also drive collaboration across propositions and ensure connectivity across the wider team through an effective communications programme and ensure sales campaigns and sales initiatives are effectively developed, executed and embedded.
The individual will be expected to be a point of connectivity with the other sales professionals across the firm to lead collaboration on how we go to market.
Key areas of accountability include:
- To be a trusted advisor to leadership working closely with them to actively contribute to market planning activities and their activation.
- Management of the largest competitive opportunities, ensuring appropriate support is in place through the existing pursuit framework
- Support the Priority Client Programme including target setting and collaboration with other teams to maximise growth
- Management of the pipeline including role modelling good practice behaviours and constructively identifying areas and opportunities for intervention and support.
- Management of reporting to provide insight, spot trends and identify areas of intervention working.
- Delivery of priority sales campaigns
- Ensure Sales training behaviours are embedded
- Development of a communication strategy to include sales performance, client success stories, sales successes, selling perspectives and contribution to leadership newsletter cycles.
- Preparation and presentation of materials for leadership meetings and reviews.
Your key skills and experience:
This role is perfect for someone with relevant sales and business development experience who is looking for a new challenge and is keen to develop their career in an exciting and growing part of our business.
- Proven track record in business development, sales and client relationship management (ideally within a professional services environment).
- Expert understanding of sales enablement programmes and sales support.
- Expert understanding of targeting and opportunity management with the ability to implement both strategic and tactical initiatives.
- Strong project management and analytical skills with a strong eye for detail.
- Proactive with a positive can do approach.
- Team player; able to actively contribute and participate as a member of the Sales capability
- Strong relationship skills with the ability to form networks with partners and staff at all levels and influence effectively.
- Market focused with a sound business understanding as well as being commercially and risk aware.
- Excellent influencing and powerful communication skills.
- Knowledge of the Financial Services industry is desirable but not essential.
Team
The role will sit as part of the wider Risk sales and marketing team, reporting to the Head of Sales for Risk. You will have access to a broad team of business development colleagues operating in a similar function.
This team sits within the Sales capability, part of Sales & Marketing, PwC's centralised support function, and covers all aspects of professional services marketing, sales support and business development. We work together with the Clients & Markets Executive to build and sustain competitive advantage. We execute our go-to-market strategy using our expertise, talent and assets to drive commercial outcomes, for us and our clients. The Sales capability operates with a culture focused on client-centricity and our clients issues, ensuring we are operating with a commercial mindset and a consistent level of quality and excellence in all we do. We work together to ensure these attributes are present in all activities and interactions, every day.
