Summary
Job role: Contact Supervisors AGENCY
Responsible to: Manager
Job Purpose:

To supervise and safeguard all those in attendance during the contact sessions.
We require continues and consistent commitment to cover these role types, although listed as temporary work most cases are on going or for set time frames.

Supervised contact workers will provide a consistent service to families with the aim of achieving high quality contact between children, young people and vulnerable adults and their families.

Supervise contact sessions between children, young people and vulnerable adults and their families within the agreement and processes of the care planning agenda. To work to support parent/carers whose contact is supervised, to provide safe and suitable focused sessions. To provide up to date information on request.

Make sure the children, young people and vulnerable adults are kept safe and their emotional well being is safeguarded during contact with family members who may have been assessed as posing a level of risk to them;
Positive relationships are satisfied between parties and their non-resident family
members wherever possible;
Parents/family members are supported practically and emotionally to make supervised contact sessions a positive experience wherever possible;
Harmful or abusive contact is recognised, reported and steps taken to reduce or
remove any such harm or abuse.
1. To support the delivery of safe and effective supervised contact sessions.
2. To ensure you have an understanding of, and comply with, Family Action's procedures for promoting and safeguarding the welfare and safety of children and vulnerable adults, undertaking risk assessments before each session.
3. To assess the quality of parenting observed during the supervised contact and use this evidence to complete reports as required.
4. To ensure that all supervised contact sessions are managed to ensure as positive
experience for the parties as possible.
5. To recognise any risks of harm and intervene appropriately to de-escalate the risks or bring in additional support as required to safeguard the children.
6. To keep records of your work, adhere to confidentiality and information sharing protocols.
7. To contribute to the collection and analysis of information required and provide accurate reports as necessary.
8. To participate in personal supervision and training and appraisal processes to ensure your knowledge skills and practice is of a high standard.
9. To implement the principles of our Equal Opportunities Policy in every aspect of your work and positively promote the principles of the policy amongst colleagues, service users and other members of the community.
10. To comply with our Health and Safety Policy, Data Protection Policy and to protect the health, safety and welfare of yourself and others.
11. To work flexibly as may be required by the needs of the service and carry out any other reasonable duties as required.
12. Full driving license, vehicle business insurance and access to a road worthy vehicle that to legislative requirements for work purposes.
