Job description

We're currently recruiting an experienced manager to lead on our internal channels and content within the UK. You will work closely with content managers, senior managers and directors specialising in internal communications, PR and online communications, as well as stakeholders across the Corporate Affairs function.

The ideal candidate will be a confident, articulate self-starter who is also a collaborative team player.

They'll demonstrate experience and knowledge of digital platforms, channel management and using data to analyse and drive improvements. They will also have excellent writing and editing skills, sound judgment and the ability to create and maintain great stakeholder relationships. Advising on comms technologies and trends, and leading projects to keep our internal channels at the cutting edge, is also an important part of this role.

The role oversees the management of the firm's internal channels and delivering content for a broad range of business areas, topics and audiences.

  • Lead the editorial process, managing the delivery of our daily and weekly firmwide news through a variety of channels and formats.

  • Oversee the flow of content for our internal online news service - from sourcing to publication.

  • Lead the internal comms approach to measurement and analysis to provide insights and support future communications planning

  • Be the wider team's expert on our channels and house style.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to drive positive, innovative and impactful communications activity and enhance the firm's reputation as the UK's leading professional services firm.

  • Work closely with IT to maintain and improve our bespoke communications planning tool

  • Collaborate with Corporate Affairs colleagues on wider campaigns in support of the firm's strategic priorities, and work closely with colleagues to share experience and best practice and excellence in market-leading communications.

  • Build and maintain a solid understanding of the priorities of the firm and its business lines.

  • Wide-ranging internal communications experience, including editorial and channel management

  • Experience using email marketing software such as Marketing Cloud, content management systems, and community/social media management an advantage

  • Understanding of communications metrics and measurement

  • Delivery and implementing channel and content strategies.

  • Proven ability in using digital channels as effective communications tools.

  • Excellent writing and editorial skills, and proven ability to plan, manage and deliver projects.

  • A strong problem-solver and able to work calmly under pressure.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to manage multiple projects.

  • Experience of large scale change comms strategy would be an advantage.

  • A strong understanding of business and current affairs.

  • An understanding of the economic, political and business drivers impacting the UK and professional services in particular.

  • Bring creativity, ideas and experience to a high-performing communications team.

We also have a Channels and a Multimedia team to support the delivery of our messages. Our projects often span across the themes and there are many opportunities to develop in areas outside of your own.
