Job Description Summary
A career in our Financial Crime practice, within Forensic Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients navigate through complex challenges, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Fraud and Market Abuse . We help our clients to prevent, respond to and remediate a wide range of Financial Crime threats, risks and complex issues.
Who are we looking for?
In order to achieve our growth plans, we are looking to recruit a Manager who is experienced within the anti-financial crime domain. . You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients, primarily financial institutions, delivering advisory and execution managed solution engagements across policy, process, operations, technology or any combination of these facets. It is important that you are a self-starter, a commercial and creative thinker with a desire to learn and that you can work well individually as well as part of a team.
Your skills should include:
- Strong analytical skills, with ability to critically challenge a point of view
- Ability to explain complex issues in plain English
- Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy both in analysis and when preparing written reports and outputs
- Clear logical thinker and well organised
- Fast learner with a sceptical and inquisitive mindset
- Commercial outlook with an interest in the wider context of our work
- Confident communicator and able to deal with people at all levels including planning and leading client workshops
- Leadership skills and experience leading operational or project delivery teams
- Stakeholder management to support building of consensus to ensure the success of engagements
- Appetite for building an external network of contacts
- Good team skills
As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with specialist experience, helping our clients deal with complex issues and navigate large programmes of work. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing client facing engagements as well as driving specific business development initiatives within the team. Client facing responsibilities include:
- Being the day-to-day contact for the client;
- Planning and leading client workshops to develop solutions and build consensus;
- Leading project workstreams around topics such as policy, process, technology or data;
- Leading operational delivery teams managing quality and production outputs;
- Managing engagement set up for new projects;
- Managing engagement costs throughout the project;
- Coaching junior team members and reviewing their output;
- Drafting client deliverables; and
- Proactively suggesting better / more efficient ways to deliver our work.
Where will you be based?
Projects will mainly be carried out at our offices in London or Belfast, with travel (international and domestic) also sometimes required to client sites; however, PwC allows greater flexibility for post-pandemic working.
You may also need to travel to other PwC offices for work, training and meetings. Any such requirements would be discussed with you in advance of starting a new project.
