Our experienced and dedicated management team are supported by a skilled care team that provide effective, person-centred care for those needing specialist dementia and nursing care.

Our care does not stop at the door, and we ensure that all families and friends know we are here to support and care for them as much as their loved ones.

*The role: *

The Dementia Lead Carer is responsible for overseeing carer activity and ensuring safe, effective and efficient care of the highest quality is delivered to our residents that is person centred and tailored to their dementia diagnosis and personal experience of the disease. You will ensure all care staff follow the residents care plans and daily activities within the stipulations of the company's policies, procedures and regulations. Must be able to establish confidence and maintain a positive team spirit.

*Working Time: *

36 hours per week - Days.

*Qualifications*

• Must be able to handle multiple priorities
• Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills
• Able to make responsible choices and decisions and act in a resident's best interest
• Ability to react calmly in emergency situations and be considerate
• Ability to follow through on assigned tasks, demonstrate good judgment, common sense and initiative
• Previous management supervisory experience desirable.
• Exhibits a caring and compassionate attitude while articulating true concern for people.
• NVQ Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care desirable or a willingness to undertake the new qualification.
• Medication administration training and/or a willingness to undertake vocational training if required. In particular a desire to undertake a Sterling University DSDC Dementia Services Development Centre; Best Practice in Dementia Course
• Must be able to work flexible hours
• Must be at least 18 years of age and achieve a satisfactory DBS check.
