Events Officer ( External Events )
Hybrid Position
£28,000-29,000 plus benefits


Excellent opportunity for an experienced Events officer to join this London based independent charity who support the Legal Advice Services

Reporting directly to the Events Manager and Head of Fundraising you will become involved in organising mainly outside Events to include Conferences, Street Parties, and various Marathon events

Purpose of role.
To improve, develop and organise events
To maintain and develop our database of supporters and event information
To maintain good relations with internal and external contacts
To maintain and assist in developing web site and online presence
To assist with the recruitment and management of volunteer interns

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Organising events
" Maintain and build on existing events
" Manage sign ups to the events using Salesforce (training provided)
" Work with the Event & Fundraising team to produce event and fundraising materials
" Draft event correspondence
" Attend, help at, and supervise events
" Follow up with participants of events
" Promote LLST externally and ensure its good reputation is maintained
" Lead on allocated specific events
Improve and maintain website and online presence
" Assist to ensure that the website is up to date
" Help to boost our events through increasing our presence on Twitter, Facebook and through other social media channels
Administrative duties
" Process and input events income as and when required
" Maintain and improve the charities internal database, Salesforce, with regards to events and responsible for sharing expertise and providing the first line of support for events (training to be provided if need be)
" Maintain contact database in line with data protection and charities policy
" Assist with the day-to-day smooth running of the office, and other tasks as required generally commensurate with the post

Key Requirements for this role
" Enthusiasm for the cause and our work and commitment to social justice and equal opportunities for all.
" Educated to degree level
" Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communications skills.
" Confidence with IT including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the internet.
" Ability to work well under pressure, with strong organisational skills to cope in a busy environment with competing demands.
" Proven ability to communicate with a wide range of people and to liaise with other organisations.
" Highly motivated, with ability to work on own initiative and as part of a small team.
" Ability to work outside office hours as required, particularly in the build up to events, other busy periods and on the day of events.
" Experience of Event co-ordination
" Knowledge of Salesforce/CRM desirable
" Knowledge of Social Media Platforms ideal
