We are creating a scalable next generation mobility business that can deliver high quality returns and long-term free cash flow generation - and we will implement this with a disciplined approach to capital and resource allocation and rapid customer acquisition which will help deliver our net zero ambition.
As Finance Manager, Future Mobility & Solutions you will be a key member of the Finance Leadership team and will be an integral part of growing FM&S. In this role, you will be accountable for the full suite of Finance activities for FM&S and will support BP's growth agenda, creating fit for purpose financial processes working with central and in-country C&P Finance, ARC, PPM teams and in coordination with GBS.
Reporting into the VP Finance, FM&S and CVP&E, you will be responsible for bringing together all financial aspects of FM&S opportunities including:
- Planning & performance management (including comparison with competitor insights);
- Financialisation of strategy development;
- Management reporting;
- Accounting, reporting, and control.
This key role will also serve as a focal point to other functions ( Tax, Legal, Treasury, IT&S etc.) as we develop and implement new business opportunities.
Key accountabilities
- Ensuring a fit for purpose financial process is created for FM&S as we enter new markets and new business models.
- Responsible for assurance around end to end business controls and complete accurate and timely accounting and reporting for growth options including effectiveness of financial control, credit and risk management, consistent with Functional standards.
- Leading in-year financial performance management processes and proactively supporting the business to drive performance delivery.
- Accountability for translating business strategy into business plans that focus on activities and financial outcomes. This includes input to Strategy Refresh and economic evaluations for investment projects.
- Support the set up and direction of finance capability in country, working effectively with the transition workstreams.
Essential Education:
- Accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
- Strong analytical skills and commercial mentality
- Experience of quickly grasping new situations/business/activity
- Ability to create insights from data analysis and challenge the status quo
- Strong influencing, networking and relationship building skills to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders both within Finance and across the business.
- Ability to deliver process improvement that embraces the opportunity to add new value
- A strong teammate who is also comfortable working autonomously and under the demands of a fast-paced work environment
