Who we are looking for

PwC is looking for an experienced, credible and highly motivated Market Driver to join the Market & Industry Driver team in the Sales & Marketing team to support the Financial Services industry.

You will require excellent influencing and communication skills in order to be credible and to be able to communicate data-led insights to challenge the FS leadership team and senior management, including Partners and Directors active in the market. A vital part of the role is a thorough understanding of the strategic business drivers for PwC, the Financial Services sector and our clients.

Excellent project management skills are required as is experience in opportunity management and sales effectiveness.

You will have two reporting lines

  1. to report to the Sales & Marketing leadership team via the FS Sales & Marketing Team Leader
  2. to report to the FS Leadership Team and in particular the FS Leader of Industry and FS COO in the day to day delivery of role.

About the team

This role sits within the Sales capability, part of Sales & Marketing, PwC's centralised support function, and covers all aspects of professional services marketing, sales support and business development. We work together with the Clients and Markets Executive to build and sustain competitive advantage. We execute our go-to-market strategy using our expertise, talent and assets to drive commercial outcomes, for us and our clients. The Sales capability operates with a culture focused on client-centricity and our clients issues, ensuring we are operating with a commercial mindset and a consistent level of quality and excellence in all we do. Your responsibilities

This role will be responsible for the activation of FS activities to support go to market messages to ensure we bring the best of FS, our knowledge and expertise, and the whole Firm, to our clients.

Strategic business planning:

  • Support business planning and sales and marketing planning via the annual sector and FS Sector and PCP planning process, preparing insights from the data provided for FSLT decision making.
  • Work with the FS COO to plan, implement and manage weekly, monthly and quarterly sales MI and reporting cadence, insights, and tools to understand and drive FS growth at a cross-FS level and at the FS Sector level.
  • Work with the FS S&M Lead to plan, implement and manage pipeline processes and tools to improve the sales performance for FS teams
  • Produce regular pipeline reports utilising Salesforce data, driving insights with the market drivers, provide FS commentary for Business Dynamics reporting, and provide pipeline performance insights to the FSLT.
  • Work with the FS Finance/ Commercial Insights team to align FS financial results and budget forecasts, with a thorough understanding of our full Salesforce pipeline of activity and opportunities to make resourcing and investment decisions.

Develop and drive the FS market driven programme of activities:

  • FSLT LOS Leader stakeholder engagement through monthly touchpoints on their sales cadence and sales activities.
  • Drive sales cadence for xLOS sales campaigns and FS sectors including preparations for pipeline meetings.
  • Lead the FS client feedback programme, working with the FS market driver team, to ensure the messages and learnings from client feedback are shared and acted upon to help increase opportunity conversion and client satisfaction.
  • Lead the FS Alumni engagement programme, including ensuring insights are driven to this important buyer group.

Strategic and network development:

  • Lead the FS internal comms strategy to develop a connected team, platform for sharing information, developing content, identifying issues and best practice.

Skills and experience required

  • Excellent project management with strong relationship skills, ideally with experience of a professional services / Partnership environment.
  • Strong data analytics skill set, with experience of Salesforce, Einstein Analytics, Tableau and/or Alteryx.
  • Sound understanding of targeting and opportunity management with the ability to implement both strategic and tactical initiatives.
  • A sound business understanding - commercially and risk aware coupled with an ability to move from strategic to tactical delivery.
  • Proactive with a positive can do approach.
  • Team player; able to actively contribute and participate as a member of the Market & Industry Driver function.
  • The ability to build relationships, communicate and influence a wide range of people at a senior level.
  • The ability to organise and run metrics driven decision making forums with gravitas
  • A dynamic, self-starter who seeks to innovate and can work effectively as part of a virtual team.
