Accounting Services
Our Accounting Services team (part of our Compliance Services team) is a market focused business providing outsourced accounting services to national and multinational corporations with a focus on helping them remain compliant and providing insights into their operations.
Accounting Services has a varied and prestigious client base and works with various specialists in their own field which, combined with the importance placed on continuous technical training and personal development, provides an excellent opportunity for career development. Working within the Compliance Services team, you'll have the opportunity to work on high profile client assignments alongside staff across the wider Tax practice.
Our training programme is underpinned by a development framework that broadens and deepens your knowledge. You'll learn from hands-on coaching and an outstanding variety of work, picking up business, personal and technical skills you can use across the network, and throughout your career.
What you'll do
Your responsibilities will include a range of tasks, however generally this will involve:
- The preparation of local and cross border client GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) statutory financial statements (SFS).
- Bookkeeping and preparation of periodic management accounts.
- Advising on statutory accounting compliance requirements.
- Advising on improvements to the SFS cycle i.e. the production, audit and filing of SFS.
- Attending group technical training meetings.
- Contributing to major proposals to help manage and grow the Accounting Services accounting compliance portfolio worldwide.
- Participating in ad hoc projects.
- This gives you the opportunity to learn from different clients and develop your transferable skills

What you'll gain
You'll spend the first stage of your career learning about our business and developing key skills. For many roles, this will involve building your business, personal and technical skills by studying to become a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) or the Chartered Accountants of Ireland (CAI), as well as a Chartered Tax Advisor with the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) through a joint qualification.
What you'll need
You'll need to have or be on course for a 2.1 degree or above in any subject. We determine whether you're on course for a 2.1 based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study.
