Job description
PwC is looking for an experienced, credible and highly motivated Senior Manager Team Leader to lead the IM&S Industry Marketing and Sales team.
Sitting within Sales and Marketing, the role holder will be responsible for working with the IM&S Leader to devise and deliver go-to-market strategy in this critical industry. The job holder will also work closely with the Line of Service and Regional Sales and Marketing teams in relation to key propositions, channels to market and priority clients.
The jobholder will require strong influencing and communication skills to work effectively alongside the IM&S Leadership Team. A thorough understanding of the strategic business drivers for PwC, the component parts of the IM&S sector and our clients' issues in that market will be vital.
The jobholder must be creative and innovative and be able to effectively communicate key business messages to a diverse audience. Strong leadership skills are required, as is a proven understanding of sales and marketing.
Sales and Marketing is a centralised support function and covers all aspects of professional services marketing, sales support and business development. The prime area of focus for the function is to work with and support the Practice in developing and implementing the firm's go-to-market strategy.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Leads on all aspects of Sales and Marketing strategy, planning and execution, aligning globally and with the UK CME priorities as appropriate.
- Working with senior stakeholders across the IM&S Leadership Team and the IM&S Board Account GRP/LRPs community.
- Managing the annual IM&S Board Account programme including the planning and execution of Board Account plans and link to LoS and Growth Priorities.
- Ensures link to regional IM&S business team and the IM&S Executive Account teams.
- Overall line management of the IM&S Sales and Marketing team.
- Responsible for managing marketing spend in the UK IM&S plan, ensuring that there are clear and commercial objectives and that impact is measured.
- Is overall responsible for IM&S industry thought leadership outputs, ensuring clear outcomes.
- Supports LoS major campaigns within IM&S and drives targeting and sales activation into the market.
- Ensures appropriate governance over commercial risk decisions with third parties in relation to sales and marketing.
- Leads with the Leader of Industry on key IM&S industry bodies to drive opportunities through engagement plans.
- May be asked to attend client meetings, client feedback sessions and support Board Accounts as appropriate.

- Experienced Team Leader
- The ability to form networks with partners and staff at all levels and influence effectively.
- A sound business understanding as well as being strong commercially and around risk issues.
- Excellent influencing and powerful communication skills.
- Proven track record driving go-to-market strategies across Sales and Marketing.
- Expert understanding of targeting and opportunity management with the ability to implement both strategic and tactical initiatives
- Strong knowledge of SPIN, Miller Heiman or another relationship/sales methodology and proven experience in driving opportunities through to revenue - preferred, but not essential
- Client-focused with strong relationship skills.
- Proactive, with a positive can do approach.
- Self-starter able to work effectively as part of a virtual team.
- Team player; able to actively contribute and participate as a member of the Business Strategy capability.
- The ability to form networks with partners and staff at all levels and influence effectively.
- Strong people management and development skills with experience of managing teams.
- Client facing business development experience, with a proven track record of relationship management and revenue conversion.
- Excellent influencing and powerful communication skills.
