With clients ranging from multinational organisations and public sector bodies to entrepreneurs and family businesses, the work we do is diverse.
Hear from Ed Stacey, Tax People Leader about what a career in Tax could mean for you - from development, to our culture, to what we value in our people when building our team.
Overview
If you're interested in operating in a fast-moving, dynamic and exciting Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) environment, while leading and delivering high-impact People solutions for Global clients, then People in Deals is for you.
Our PwC People in Deals team supports clients by deploying HR expertise in an M&A environment. We deliver end-to-end HR services, across the entire deals lifecycle, delivering value through Mergers, Acquisitions & Integrations, Separations, Restructuring programmes and an array of other transactions and transformation initiatives.
In an ever changing and uncertain world, the market is poised for a deals-led-recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, with an increasing pool of private capital in play and business valuations marching higher. Our team's wide-ranging, adaptable and multidisciplinary offering, paired with an accelerating deals market, means there is no better time to join the team - and make a very real impact.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for ambitious, talented and driven individuals with a desire to lead and drive the delivery of HR and People initiatives in an exciting Deals environment.
Key Experience:
- Extensive experience of dealing with issues that surround the people agenda of a business and/or a deals background is essential
- Extensive experience of leading and driving change, business transformation, restructuring and TUPE programmes is essential
- Strong experience as a Consultant and/or in a Change environment is highly desirable
- Experience of working on deals (across both integration and carve-out) is highly desirable
- Significant experience or subject matter expertise in one or more particular areas such as Organisational Design, Workforce Planning, Culture, Change Management, Communications, Talent Management, People Transition or Industrial Relations is desirable
Key Skills:
- You have exceptional stakeholder management skills and communication skills
- You are an effective, adaptable and balanced leader
- You are able to manage your own time and balance multiple priorities when under considerable pressure
- You have a strong desire to continue to develop as a professional, and have an extensive proven track record of growth, adaptability and a willingness to improve.
- You work comfortably under pressure in a fast-paced deal/project environment
- You are a proven self-starter who is able to use your initiative to develop solutions
- You work effectively in cross-functional teams and are able to apply your expertise to a variety of business challenges
Working with us:
The deals you would lead and drive could vary from small domestic to global multi-billion pound transactions, and your work would cover some of the most interesting and challenging projects within PwC. Our clients cover all industries, including Pharma, Retail & Consumer, Industrial Products, Energy, Financial Services, Media & Technology as well as Private Equity (PE).
You would lead and drive a value-focused People strategy for our clients across the whole deal cycle, from due diligence to integration, separation planning to execution, as well as post deal business and cultural transformation. Key focus areas you could be involved in include workforce planning and transition, organisational design, engagement and culture, retention, compensation & benefits, HR service delivery, employee relations, and HR systems and processes - all in a deals context.
We regularly partner with teams across PwC, both locally as well as Globally, and we work as one team in a supportive and collaborative setting, recognising outstanding contribution and talent.
If working in the People in Deals team sounds like a good fit for you, then we would love to hear from you.
Not the role for you?
Did you know PwC offer flexible contract arrangements as well as contingent work (ie temporary or day rate contracting)?
