HSE Officer
Our client is a local family-owned business who are going from strength to strength in their operations, they value the family ethos within the business and working together as one.
They are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and dedicated individual with a driven personality to join their Manufacturing/QHSE division as a Health, Safety & Environmental Officer.
The main objective of the role is to ensure the company remains compliant with legal requirements as well as the welfare of the staff through training, reviews, assessments, and checks.
Potential duties will include:
The successful applicant will have a high ability to work under pressure within a fast-paced manufacturing setting, the individual should be prepared to be hands on and driven to ensure that requirements are completed on time.
Experience as a HSE officer, IOSH, NEBOSH and COSHH is a necessity, a willingness to be flexible, and a positive attitude to the role in order to continue push the company forward in the best direction.
General hours of work are 9.00 to 5.00 Monday to Friday.
In return you will be paid a salary of £25,000 per annum

- Risk assessments of manufacturing processes
- COSHH assessments
- Inductions for employees - completing new starter documentation with them
- Maintaining the training matrix on safety and manual handling
- Health screening of employees - organising and updating
- Explaining the risks of operations to employees to ensure that they are aware of them and that they are minimised
- Liaising with environmental agencies with regards to inspections and required certificates
- Noise assessments
- IOSH workplace safety
- Work with maintenance to ensure PUWER
- Metal working fluid tests and records
