Role Summary
As a Product & Solution Lead, you will play a key role in the consulting Digital CoE, combining business understanding with technology innovation and design to develop commercially viable products and services. You will lead a product team as part of the Consulting Digital CoE leadership team. Responsible for resourcing the team and connecting with PwC Products & Technology leaders and functional teams. Oversees products that are operational and generally available in the market. Responsible for scope, schedule of product. Influences stakeholder buy-in on product roadmap. Provides oversight and direction on product vision, strategy, design and prototyping for their products & assets. Aids in development of new product ideas and versions of existing products based on interactions with customers and internal stakeholders. Manages new major releases. Works with User Experience to determine customer research strategy. Works with Sales to promote products' core functionalities, values and benefits during market launch.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Driving the consistency in product management tools and processes across all areas of the business over the Product Life Cycle, and actively embedding product management principles, approaches and methodologies into the heart of each project, and ensuring team members and other stakeholders understand them
- People management - leading and coaching a team of 5 junior product managers
- Leading the conceptualisation, rapid prototyping, market validation, build and scale for one or more products in the innovation process. Including commissioning of services from Experience Consulting and T&I
- Establish product vision, business goals, product roadmap and global rollout plans across our product & asset portfolio
- Handle roadmap trade-offs to ensure successful delivery of features and functionality delivered meets human and business needs.
- Work as a part of a highly collaborative cross-functional team to understand requirements and identify new opportunities
- Manage internal and external stakeholders and collaboration at all levels
- Work closely with multiple teams on the planning, development and design of strategy from product initiation decision through to handover to BAU
- Working closely with the activation & commercialisation team as well as sales and marketing to develop the client proposition and determine product pricing models
- Developing the business case to secure investment, and monitoring progress against OKRs
- Being an influential voice of the customer, including designing and conducting interviews to understand the needs of the customer
Skills and Experience - essential:
- Experience leading and coaching product managers
- Demonstrable commercial experience in a product focused role, a strong understanding of product management methodologies especially in a business to business setting
- Experience of working in Agile and applying Design Thinking methodology to solving problems
- Experience in working with developers and a good understanding of product development processes
- Experience in conducting customer interviews, and working with users to translate requirements into user stories
- Strong commercial skill set with the ability to successfully understand and build business cases
- Confident with working in a fast-paced environment and playing an integral part in the building and development of products
- Ability to switch between big picture thinking and the detail
- Experience with external delivery partners
- Experience of interacting with senior stakeholders and communicate with impact (both verbally and written)
- Degree level qualification or equivalent by qualification or experience
- Relevant technical certifications and/or professional project management qualifications
Skills and Experience - desirable:
- Knowledge of key emerging technologies, current trends and their potential disruptive impacts
- Experience of working with and managing relationships with 3rd party design and development houses
- Experience of working in (or with) a professional services firm or consultancy
- Experience in AWS, Azure and / or GCP
- Knowledge of Agile estimating techniques, JIRA, Office/GSuite, Alteryx, Tableau and UiPath.
