Working as part of our busy Operations Finance team which is based across Reading and Swansea, an Associate Project Analyst is responsible for a range of financial and process activities in support of Project Analysts. This ensures the operational effectiveness and excellence of the business unit. Your role is to support the Project Analysts by assisting widely with project startup processes, reconciliations, trackers, forecasting system maintenance and other support as required. Key responsibilities for this role include:
* Managing simple, process focused projects and/or close-out phase of larger projects
* Confidently and accurately ensuring that core Operations Finance processes are followed for any projects you are supporting
* Developing a good understanding of how a Clinical Trial is structured and how this links into the role of Operations Finance, our systems and processes
* Understanding the importance of meeting deliverable timelines agreed with Project Analysts and teams they are supporting
* Identifying and highlighting potential issues related to project process and financial control risks that impact PRA's profitability or effectiveness
* Providing possible solutions to risks or issues and taking corrective action when required
* Understanding and completing complex project reconciliations
* Having the ability to interpret and apply ICON policies, procedures and practices
ICON offer study support for an AAT Apprenticeship offering the opportunity to study towards a recognised accounting qualification, with potential progression on to study for a chartered accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA) on completion of the AAT.

* Are numerate with an interest in finance
* Have achieved (or are expecting to achieve) 3 A Levels at grade C or higher with at least one of the subjects being numerical, business or science based (that being at grade B or higher).
* Hold at least 8 GCSEs at grade 6 or above (including English Language, Maths and Science)
* Have effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
* Can demonstrate effective organizational and multi‐tasking skills
* Can communicate clearly in both oral and written form
* Have a good aptitude for IT systems and good Excel skills
