We have an exciting opportunity to join our Research Impact Leads team to help us maximise the impact of our research on society, the environment and the economy. We seek a high-calibre, motivated candidate experienced in leading the delivery of research impact through knowledge exchange activities and pathways to impact in the UK Higher Education landscape. They must be pro-active and able to use their initiative to identify problems and implement appropriate solutions.

Role purpose:

To lead Research Impact support for King's College London, as part of a wider team, with a particular focus on the Faculties of Social Science and Public Policy, King's Business School and Law. The role holder will provide leadership for and strategic advice to raise impact literacy and how best to plan, generate, evaluate and evidence impact for research projects and the Research Excellence Framework. They will create and support processes to implement knowledge exchange and Impact strategies at both a Faculty and University-wide level, ensuring coherence and coordination.

The role holder will work strategically to further advance knowledge exchange and impact understanding and develop a strong impact culture. They will work across the College and beyond in building interdisciplinary research networks ensuring that our inclusive ways of working are respected and promoted.

The successful appointee will need exceptional interpersonal skills to establish productive working relationships with academic, research and professional services colleagues across the College and a collegial and dynamic leadership style. The successful candidate will work as part of the Research Impact Leads team within the Research Management and Innovation Directorate, reporting to the REF/KEF Director. They will work with the Academic Impact Leads and Research Impact practitioners across the College to support coordination of research impact activities across the College, liaising regularly with Faculty counterparts.

This post will be offered on an indefinite contract.

This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent.
