Senior DevOps EngineerRole Profile:As senior DevOps Engineer, you will Research and document emerging technologies and identify the opportunities and risks these may present to Arqiva by producing solution designs based on both functional and non-functional specifications to support continuous improvement.Salary package: Up to £50,400 per annum + 5% bonus and comprehensive company benefitsLocation: Hybrid - Remote with occasional travel to Crawley Court or LondonYour key responsibilities will include:Engage with Analysts, Testers and ArchitectsProvide input to the design process and application solution architecture to support continuous improvementProvide technical leadership within the team, sharing knowledge and skills and providing mentoring support to othersDevelop and extend libraries and frameworksResearch and document emerging technologies and identify the opportunities and risks these may present to ArqivaIdentify and resolve cross-platform compatibility and performance issues during developmentProvide third line operational support and maintenance for existing and new applications within agreed service levelsHelp develop and embed the reporting strategy with respect to process, governance and deliverablesDrive innovation, both small and large, into and through the business; deploy and evidence with outcomes, a continuous improvement (CI) mind-setBring a commercial perspective to the operation, with a particular focus on cash management, cash preservation and optimising returns on investments made in assets and tools M ust HavesTechnical knowledge in IP platforms, DevOps applications and processes, and software development.Node.JSTypescript Might haves:AWS serverless technologiesXML and XSDDockerAnsibleGitHubExperience of Agile project methodologies, supporting effort estimations, leading spike activities and showcase presentations.Splunk, Puppet, Kubernetes, cloud9, TDD/BDD, Linux, RESTful Services, Containers, PHP7, PHPUnit, Symfony 2, , Experience of messaging queues).Either Bachelors Degree in Computing Sciences or relevant experienceMore than anything, we want to work with people who are passionate about what they do and believe in our vision.
