Job description
Mailchain is email for web3. We're developing the next generation of messaging for web3 and the metaverse to safeguard communication and information. Do you care about user privacy, open source software, first class user experience, and developing new technologies that will benefit millions of users?
Without communication as a first class citizen, many actions taken for granted on the Internet cannot take place in web3. Users can't receive direct communications related to their savings, loans, and financial positions. They can't receive information from projects they care about in the context of how they interact with them. They can't contact others in their community, for example, to make an offer to purchase a digital collectible. Businesses can't receive receipts for payments, or invoices. Developers can't be reached in the event of security issues and can't send out important communications to their users if there is an issue, upgrade, or decision to be made.
Mailchain provides a cross protocol platform for sending and receiving messages between blockchain addresses. Users don't need to reveal private keys or any other information about themselves. It's as simple as using webmail.
About the role:
Mailchain is building the next generation communication platform for web3 and needs a talented frontend software development engineer. As a key member of our team, use your knowledge of user interface development to build the next generation communication platform.
You will build beautiful, clean user interfaces that raise the bar for web3 user experience. Your work will enable millions of decentralized web and metaverse users to interact with one another. Get in on the ground level, join a new, fast growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Re-invent messaging applications for web, mobile and desktop
- Partner with the design and wider tech team to create a top class product
- Having fun while building great user experiences that delight users
- Work across the blockchain community to invent and simplify web3 user experience
- Help to define and shape a new and growing front-end team
- Have 3+ years developing frontend applications with JavaScript/TypeScript
- Built interfaces for different devices, ideally using modern frameworks for example, React and React Native
- Balance rapidly iterating and building for scale
- Know how to design and write maintainable code
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent English communication skills and collaboration abilities
- Experience using web3 or decentralised applications
- >1 year of professional Golang experience
- Experience tackling ambiguous and previously undefined problems
- Successfully build complex software systems
- Ability to learn new languages, frameworks, and technologies quickly
