About the Deals marketing team

Our Deals marketing business aligned team sits within the firm's Sales and Marketing function and works closely with the Deals business. Our team supports the development and implementation of the marketing strategy and oversees the delivery of go to market campaigns and projects for the Deals line of service. Our team delivers insight on key issues of relevance to our clients and markets, in support of the Deals strategy and the firm's growth priorities such as 'Value Creation' and 'Act now to recover'. We are focussed on driving sustainable and profitable growth as well as defining our brand within selected markets and segments.

About the role

We're looking for an experienced, creative and digitally adept marketer to join our Deals Marketing Team. They will be responsible for overseeing development and delivery of marketing activity across all areas of the Deals line of service, in conjunction with our marketing capability teams. The role will require somebody to be confident with marketing strategy, audience segmentation, customer journey mapping, channel and content management, analytics and ROI measurement.

The candidate can be based anywhere nationally in the UK. Regular travel to London will be required, although a degree of flexibility in how and when is available.

Responsibilities include

  • Working with the Deals Marketing Lead, to develop and implement our marketing strategy and plan, which also aligns to the growth priorities and marketing themes of the firm.

  • Acting as the marketing campaign lead for various growth priority campaigns, developing and delivering a cross line of service, commercial, sales and marketing strategy.

  • Responsible for overseeing the measurement of campaigns and activities - capturing, analysing and developing recommendations based on multiple data sets.

  • Ensure that activity is in line with buyer needs, co-ordinated across the business and converted to opportunities for value conversations;

  • Proactively seek new channels to market and innovate to engage with our audience in different ways.

  • Working closely with the sales and account teams to ensure we are targeting the right people at the right accounts and that all marketing activity is aligned to potential commercial outcomes

  • Working with Deals teams to develop timely, relevant and engaging content for key audiences in response to and to generate opportunities from, key market shifts.

  • Bringing curiosity and challenge and capturing best practice so that experience, information and knowledge are shared across the wider marketing teams.

  • Working closely with the other teams in Sales and Marketing to access additional expertise and knowledge.

  • Being a role model for sharing and collaboration, creating a positive team spirit across the Line of Service community.

  • Stakeholder management with relevant partners, and related business areas for specific campaigns.

Skills & Experience Required

  • A passion for marketing and a curiosity to learn new things and challenge ways of working

  • Ability to work responsively in a fast-paced and thrive in an ambiguous environment.

  • A mind-set which demonstrates a comfort with testing, learning and optimising

  • Good understanding of how to bring creative ideas and the right channel mix together to reach a target audience

  • Proven experience of developing and delivering multi channel campaigns alongside experience of measuring and analysing data to build a picture of campaign performance and ROI

  • Clear communication skills

  • Experience of working in complex, matrix organisations would be helpful, along with evidence of managing varied stakeholder groups

  • Commercially strong, offering insight into how to create lead generating B2B campaigns

  • Strong influencing skills to challenge the status quo

  • Experience of Marketing Automation systems would be very advantageous
