About the role:
Are you a highly experienced, ambitious Fullstack developer for a challenging role where you can learn lots more? We are opening a new position for talented candidates who want to define the face of innovative digital products. We are looking for a motivated PHP / Laravel Developer to come join one of our FinTech projects. If you are passionate about technology, constantly seeking to learn and improve your skill set, then you are the type of person we are looking for!
Responsibilities:
- Develop, record and maintain cutting edge web-based PHP applications on portal plus premium service platforms
- Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the User Experience (UX) team
- Ensure HTML, CSS and shared JavaScript is valid and consistent across applications
- Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools
- Utilize backend data services and contribute to increasing existing data services API
- Lead the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post launch support
- Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issues
- Document the development process, architecture, and standard components
- Coordinate with co-developers and keeps project managers well informed of the status of development effort and serves as liaison between development staff and project manager
- Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development
- Previous working experience as a PHP / Laravel developer for a minimum of 3+ years
- In depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP and Laravel 5 PHP Framework
- Hands on experience with SQL schema design, SOLID principles, REST API design
- Software testing (PHPUnit, PHPSpec, Behat)
- MySQL profiling and query optimization
- You can get quickly involved in an already running project
- You think conceptually and independently
- You are a critical thinker and a good problem-solver and you can make complex technical and design decisions
- You have excellent project management skills and can control your team's quality of work
- You have excellent communications skills and experience dealing directly with clients
- You are fluent either in Slovak (C1), or Czech (C1) and English (C1)
- Experience with other PHP frameworks: Symfony, Codelgniter, Zend Framework/Laminas Project, Yii (Framework), CakePHP, Slim, Phalcon, FuelPHP, Fat-Free Framework
- Previous experience in the banking, insurance and healthcare sectors
- Experience or a mind-set as an entrepreneur is preferred
