To help us achieve our talent ambitions, the Senior Resourcing Advisor will support with the delivery of the resourcing team objectives against pre-agreed metrics. This role will have accountability for the recruitment across Springer Nature business divisions, providing flexibility where needed. The role holder will consistently deliver an excellent proactive approach and service when supporting hiring managers across a wide range of vacancies. Additionally, the Senior Resourcing Advisor will continually seek innovative ways to deliver our recruitment offering and get involved with bespoke recruitment related projects.
Core accountabilities for the role include to:
- Deliver an end to end service through placing job board advertisements, pro-active headhunting, screening responses and applications, shortlisting suitable candidates and coordinating selection processes.
- Advise hiring managers on approaches and ideas to successfully attract suitable candidates ensuring alignment with business plans and needs. Effectively and professionally support senior stakeholder relationships as required.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with hiring managers, key business stakeholders (including HR) and third party suppliers, to provide a successful resourcing service to the business.
- Directly source candidates through various sources including networks, social media platforms and job boards.
- Proactively develop a continual pipeline of quality candidates, according to business needs.
- Help plan and host internal/external events, attend industry events, experienced hire events, diversity initiatives and relevant forums (specific to needs) to build on the Springer Nature employer brand.
- Working as part of a team to deliver the best resourcing experience for Springer Nature and candidates.
- Agile with a "hands on" approach to meet the team and business needs e.g. general administration e.g. maintaining the ATS system, advertising roles, sitting in on interviews where necessary and supporting Hiring Managers with anything resourcing related.
- Provide support with niche and senior roles as and when required.
- Resolving appropriate recruitment related queries or issues as they arise.
- Offer guidance and mentoring to other Resourcing Advisors at an operational level and act as a role model.
- Develop trusted relationships with senior colleagues within the HR community and act as professional and informed point of contact on recruitment related matters.
- Be an active and highly visible business facing recruitment champion.
- Identify areas of improvement in collaboration with the wider team to introduce innovative approaches to hiring that reflect the business aims and ambitions, cost savings, best practice, hiring manager engagement, candidate attraction, as well as visa and immigration legislation.
- Take accountability for leading on projects related to this with clear and deliverable outcomes.
- Contribute to the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy through implementing resourcing approaches that support diverse hiring practices.
- Supporting early talent approaches operated by the resourcing team.
Experience, skills, knowledge and qualification requirements:
Essential
- Seasoned experience as an in-house recruiter or RPO.
- Proven experience working in a corporate in-house environment, ideally within matrix organisations.
- Experience of delivering successfully on recruitment related projects and taking ownership.
- Pro-active in managing the end-to-end recruitment process across multiple roles.
- Proven ability to develop strong relationships with hiring managers at all levels to understand their needs and aligning recruitment activity accordingly.
- Ability to influence and negotiate with candidates of varying levels of skill and experience.
- Strong prioritisation, time management and organisational skills and not shy to ask for help when needed. Also always go the extra mile to help when needed.
- Good knowledge of direct sourcing methods (LinkedIn, CV search websites and job boards).
- Strong team player and collaborative approach - happy to 'get stuck in' as needed.
- Ability to generate interest and promote Springer Nature as an employer of choice.
Desirable
- Highly desirable is experience using SAP Success Factors or other recruitment applicant tracking systems.
- Previous experience in a publishing environment (not essential).
