Job description

Our aim is for everyone in the National Church Institutions (NCIs) to feel that they belong, and are valued for who they are and what they contribute. Together, our people contribute in different ways towards our common purpose, whichever NCI they work in and whatever their background.

The Clewer Initiative (TCI) enables Church of England dioceses and wider church networks to raise awareness of modern slavery, identify victims and to help provide victim support and care. Learn More >

TCI believes that the solutions to modern slavery already exist within the community and that the Church of England, which is present in all communities and is at the heart of many, has a primary responsibility in leading these efforts.

As the work grows we are looking for a Social Media, Communications, and Resource Support Officer to undertake a range of communication work, particularly social media, as well as supporting other elements of TCI's operations.

Introduction

As Social Media, Communications, and Resource Support Officer, you will work with the Communications Manager to deliver TCI's social media strategy, as well as supporting the general communication workload, and providing resources for operational use, like images and PowerPoints.

This role will be divided into three roughly equal parts:

  • To lead on the execution of TCI's social media strategy
  • To undertake a range of other communication work as directed by the Communications Manager
  • To provide high-quality resources (e.g. social media assets, images, PowerPoints, etc.) to support TCI's activities.

As well as a strong track record of working as a successful social media officer or similar, you will bring your excellent writing, copy-editing, and proofreading skills and your entrepreneurial and self-starting mindset to our team.

The post is offered on a fixed-term contract expected to last for 1 year.

The Church of England is for everyone and we want to reflect the diversity of the community the Church serves across the whole country. Therefore, while of course we welcome all applications from interested and suitably experienced people, we would particularly welcome applicants from UK Minority Ethnic Backgrounds.

We are taking a flexible approach to work, with many teams opting for a hybrid approach to their working week, with a mixture of home and office-based working. Details about working arrangements for this post will be discussed further at interview.

For an informal conversation please contact by an email.

Interviews will be held w/c 13 th December 2021.

In return we offer a unique environment with opportunities for continuous learning, generous annual leave for work life balance, season ticket loans and a range of benefits including discounted entry to attractions and what we feel is a market leading package when it comes to our pension scheme.
