About the TeamOur Capital Markets, Accounting Advisory & Structuring Services team (CMAS) is a rapidly growing deals business that sits in the Risk line of service within PwC.Within CMAS, each project is different. We advise clients undertaking complex and often iconic transactions as well as those going through moments of exceptional change.Our team has a diverse skill set, supporting high profile clients to provide assurance and advisory services on IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, divestment, debt raising, corporate structuring, implementation of new accounting standards and systems and complex transformational change including digital finance projects and treasury & commodity related issues.
About the Role
You'll have the opportunity to work across all areas of CMAS, through a Senior Associate rotation scheme giving you experience in each area of specialism: Capital Markets transactions such as Mergers and Acquisitions, IPOs and Debt deals (including US transactions); Structuring and Deal Accounting, Digital Transformation projects. We also advise clients on all aspects of their
Treasury and Commodity activities, from risk strategies and policies, accounting, controls and processes through Operating Model to the use of technology to effect change. Our clients are both audit and non-audit clients based both in the UK and overseas You'll apply your previous auditing, advisory or technical accounting knowledge to deals transactions from a more commercial perspective gaining access to a variety of key stakeholders. As your career progresses you will be able to specialise in your preferred client proposition, so you are seen as a trusted advisor to your clients.

We work closely with other teams within PwC and you will be encouraged to develop a network of relationships with clients and more broadly across the firm.
You'll work as part of a team on project-based roles and may also have the opportunity to travel within the UK and abroad, as we provide services to many multinational companies.
Essential Skills and Experience
ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
An audit or advisory experience is preferred
Ability to deliver on tight timelines and manage well under pressure
Ability to convey complex information in an understandable format
An interest in technology
The drive and agility to work across a range of areas
Good verbal and written communication, including report-writing skills
Good project management and organisational skills
Ability to build and maintain business relationships
Understanding of UK SOx style regime, with experience in designing, and/or reviewing the design and operational effectiveness of business process controls and controls underpinning financial reporting

You'll have a commercial mind-set, along with great accounting and financial reporting skills. You'll have good communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal teams and the client teams you'll be working alongside. You'll have a flexible approach and be able to quickly adapt to different scenarios and complexities and have an active interest and curiosity about new digital tools and other technologies. You'll use the knowledge and skills you've acquired (including your previous auditing, advisory or technical accounting knowledge) to solve problems for our clients in different situations. You'll be attuned to the business issues our clients are facing and enjoy thinking about how we can help them. You'll be interested in building your own network.
