Accountable for the water and wastewater studies, you will control and manage the programme, issuing study briefs and providing oversight throughout delivery to ensure the benefits are realised upon completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that effective processes are in place to identify, monitor and resolve change at study and programme level.

Key areas of accountability will include:

  • Work with the technical teams to brief the studies
  • Ensure an effective change control process is in place to identify, monitor and resolve changes
  • Build strong relationships across the Engineering teams and the wider business, including the Engineering Delivery Partners
  • Identify key risks across the programme and lead the development of mitigation plans alongside the Technical and Project Management teams as appropriate
We're looking for you to:
  • Have a technical degree or equivalent and preferably membership of a professional body
  • Be a credible leader with the drive and motivation to deliver, leading and supporting teams and promoting a culture of safety and performance management
  • Analyse data and make decisions on partial information to maintain an optimised delivery programme
  • Have an excellent track record and technical awareness of working in project and programme management
  • Use your commercial awareness, influencing and negotiating skills to develop best value solutions to briefed studies
  • Have strong project planning, estimating and financial forecasting skills with a working knowledge of best practice methodologies
  • Be competent in using our company IT systems and Microsoft Office software
  • Be highly organised with a strong drive and problem solver mentality
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to clearly interact with our stakeholders

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a highly engaged and multi-disciplinary team. The role will suit an experienced manager who is looking for their next challenge and enjoys a diversity of work with a varied schedule. You will join a highly collaborative and supportive team and ensure the management and delivery of projects are executed safely, efficiently and cost-effectively.

Our competitive salary and package include a competitive bonus, car allowance, private healthcare, an excellent contributory pension, and 26 days holiday.

We're proud of the positive ways of working we have adopted during the pandemic. We want to create a more flexible and dynamic environment so all our colleagues can thrive. For our office-based roles, we are moving to a hybrid approach where we will provide options around working from our offices, our operational sites and home dependent on role/team/individual. This will be discussed during the assessment process.
