Job description

Tax

We help our clients stay ahead of changes that impact their businesses, navigating complexity and risk. We deliver deep tax technical, people and legal expertise, while providing the critical context to make informed and compliant decisions. With clients ranging from multinational organisations and public sector bodies to entrepreneurs and family businesses, the work we do is diverse.

Hear from Ed Stacey, Tax People Leader about what a career in Tax could mean for you - from development, to our culture, to what we value in our people when building our team.

About the team

PwC's Alternative Investment Funds (AIF) team sits within our wider Financial Services Tax team. The team consists of tax, legal and regulatory specialists focusing on assisting alternative investment fund managers with a range of services across their business, covering the manager, the key people, the funds, investors and investments.

Whilst the team is UK based, the nature of the AIF industry means that a large amount of our work is international meaning there are many opportunities to work with the wider PwC AIF network.

About the role

As a Senior Associate in the team you will work as part of a team to provide excellent quality advisory and compliance services to a high profile portfolio of both UK and multinational clients. You will be expected to work on a range of AIF clients, covering strategies including Private Equity, Private Credit, Hedge Funds and Real Estate.

The work will be technically demanding and creative and offers opportunities to work on major corporate transactions, international structuring, technical compliance engagements and a range of day-to-day 'ad hoc' tax matters. As the team provides a range of non tax services, you will also have the opportunity to work closely with a range of other complementary specialists and to therefore expand your knowledge of this industry

You will be responsible for building close relationships with a wide range of clients, working as part of a team and delivering the Firms tax services. You will benefit from a progressive environment where you will be encouraged to develop client relationships, technical and people management skills.

As a Senior Associate you will have the opportunity to work with experienced Partners, Directors, Senior Managers and Managers across the FS and AIF tax teams. The team will provide you with the opportunity to put into practice your skills in a stimulating and challenging environment.

Requirements

We are looking to appoint 'soon to be' or recently qualified (tax/legal/accountancy) Senior Associates who are motivated and ambitious with excellent interpersonal and operational skills.

Ideally you will have practical experience within a corporate, business or OMB tax team, but this is not essential if you can show other relevant practical experience.

Our Competencies

Our people need to demonstrate a defined set of core skills and behaviours. We refer to these as our global core competencies. They're integral to who we are as a firm and form the basis of our people appraisal process. We will also assess you against them within our recruitment process to benchmark your own skills and behaviours. We recommend you visit the below web page to find out more about our global core competencies and to consider how your own experiences will align against them. This will help you through the recruitment process with us.
