Job Role: Technical Support Land Management
Job Type: Temporary
Location: Bangor or Llanrwst
Hours: 37 hours per week.
Salary: £12.19 per hour.
Pertemps are recruiting for a Technical Support Land Management for national client based in Bangor.
The purpose of the role is to provide business and technical support to the Operations Manager, managing selected business applications and administration systems. This will include administrative, analytical, organisational, technical and customer service activities, connected to the management of clients land or assets supporting the Team Leader.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
- You will generally follow an agreed work plan but may need to apply some creativity out in the field to resolve problems encountered.
- You will make decisions around your technical discipline out in the field which, due to the nature of the work, has the potential to impact negatively on others and assets, if incorrectly determined.
- You will be responsible for managing risk, understanding the health and safety implications of any decisions you make.
- You will carry out work in line with procedure manuals and relevant statutory codes.
- You will monitor and measure contracts to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- You will be responsible for the health and safety of others in your team, as well as members of the public or other individuals you interact with through your work.
- You will maintain accurate records of work activity and complete documentation in line with any statutory requirements and will produce written reports as required.
- You will undertake work that will involve a range of physical activity, for example lifting, carrying, climbing etc, on a daily basis.
- You will be responsible for the safe use and keeping of tools and equipment required to undertake your role, which may include vehicles and large machinery.
Where you will be working:
You will work on different sites which will include working outdoors and which will most likely involve working in some unpleasant environments and potentially with some hazardous conditions, for which the appropriate training and PPE will be provided.
You will travel to and work at different sites and offices.
Experience/Skills required:
-You will have previous practical experience in relation to your technical discipline that enables you to provide guidance and supervision to others.
-You may have completed an apprenticeship or have attained a Level 3 qualification in the Credit & Qualifications Framework for Wales, or equivalent, or will be able to demonstrate the equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
-You will have good IT skills and be competent in the use of databases, Microsoft Office and, ideally, CAD and GIS skills.
-You will have good literacy, numeracy and communications skills with the ability to interact with a range of people.
-You will have a reasonable understanding of health and safety in relation to your discipline and area of work enabling you to manage health and safety issues and to manage risk.
-You will have undertaken the relevant statutory training certificates or operator licences or will be willing and able to attain such certificates with appropriate training.
-You will be willing to undertake relevant training to ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
