PwC UK's in-bound Private Client immigration team is hiring. The team advises and assists high and ultra-high net worth individuals with their immigration needs and their private businesses.
The team supports a range of immigration applications including those under the Tier 1 (Investor) and Startup/Innovator categories as well as Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) extension applications, family applications and applications for British citizenship. The team also advises on many discretionary applications and assists with applications where the individual has a complex immigration history, including applications to overcome bans or previous refusals. In addition to the above, the team works with our network offices to assist with residency programmes across the globe and helps private business clients with the full spectrum of corporate immigration support.

Role
You will be a key member of a client engagement team with clear objectives and responsibilities. You will actively work and support the client engagement team to ensure engagement deadlines are met in a timely fashion by managing and being responsible for key client projects.
You will be involved in assisting with the provision of immigration services, providing advice and assistance to our clients under the supervision of the Managers. This will involve liaising with your team members and the client in order to ensure effective, timely and accurate administration of the immigration service/advice. Tasks are likely to include:
Responsible for a varied caseload, providing accurate and timely advice on a wide range of immigration related matters;
Assisting with the management of projects to ensure deadlines are met;
Attending meetings with prospective clients and contributing to client proposals, often linking in with other practice areas;
Assisting with client engagement accounting, including billing and collection issues;
Understanding and assisting the engagement team to ensure it follows PwC's protocols for record keeping and document handling;
Assisting with the risk management checks for new and existing clients;
Undertaking technical and practical legal research including identification, collation, and distribution of information;
Mentoring junior team members, undertaking first stage review of their work and developing their technical knowledge and skills; and
Promoting the immigration practice internally and externally.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' specific experience in private client immigration with further general immigration experience preferable. The ability to converse in a foreign language is also of interest. The individual should have experience covering a range of the following:
Tier 1 (Investor) and Start Up/Innovator applications, including entry clearance, leave to remain and ILR;
Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) applications, including leave to remain and ILR;
The range of family applications under Appendix FM and Part 8 of the Immigration Rules;
Visit visa applications;
British nationality applications, including discretionary naturalisation and registration applications;
Sole representative of overseas business applications;
Sponsor licence applications and assistance with subsequent applications under the Skilled Worker/ICT category; and
Experience with any immigration refusal or ban will be considered a bonus.
Knowledge of sports immigration would also be of interest.
In addition to the above, the following skills are required:

Able to demonstrate resilience, self-motivation and a positive can-do attitude;
Hard-working and committed to completing tasks well with good attention to detail;
Commercial awareness and ability to confidently deal with demanding situations, people and requirements;
Proven organisational skills, with the ability to manage your own caseload and time effectively;
Clear, articulate and confident written and verbal communication skills and ability to build strong relationships internally and externally;
Primarily a team player but able to work under own initiative; and
Proficient in use of office software and online research resources.
