What you will be doing
As the Water Regulations Inspector, you are responsible for the quality of water in your area. This is a field-based role, carrying out water regulations inspections in accordance with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 and the Water Industry Act 1991. The role is technically involved, requiring the inspection of water systems in all types of properties connected directly or indirectly to the water supply, specifically activities that pose a greater risk to the water supply.

This role offers plenty of autonomy and scope and will enable you to utilise your organisational and customer service skills as well as exercising your knowledge of the industry and its regulations. You will need to be informative to customers and be able to offer assistance and guidance where needed and ensure we are working within the latest 'Water Regulations'.

- Water Quality failure inspections
- Existing site inspections and new build inspections
- Water efficiency
- Approved Plumber audits
- RPZ audits
- Ad-hoc inspections
We're looking for you to:
- Deliver exceptional customer service through an enthusiastic and positive approach, taking accountability for your role while working accurately and flexibly within a busy team
- Have extensive knowledge of carrying out inspections and audits
- Have plumbing experience with a relevant qualification
- Produce detailed reports and interpret data by hand and using IT systems
- Be proficient in using our company IT systems and Microsoft Office software
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to clearly interact with our customers and stakeholders
- Have a full driving licence as the work will be field based within the Thames Water area
