Job description

AV Technician/Installer

Responsible for: Successful installations and other duties as directed

Purpose: To support Lead Installer as directed

Specific Duties

* Diligently carry out all duties requested related to installs, including but not restricted to TVs, audio and entertainment, aerial and satellite, multi rooms AV, Sonos, IT networks as directed, wireless access points and all related company engineering or IT needs.

* Assist in install of access storage systems

* Ensure the successful delivery of AV projects, including initiation phase, through to the successful conclusion of each project

* Ensure pictures and taken of each install, before, during and after

* Diagnose and resolve any issues that arise

* Assist in store as required, ensuring product knowledge is maintained to the highest standard

* Utilise all Learning resources and manage your personal development

* Ensure the back office and store environment is maintained to the highest standard

* Support colleagues and Leadership team to deliver their duties

* Ensure all company assets are taken care of to the highest standard

Key accountabilities

Customers

The management of all customer expectation through constant communication and the maintaining of the highest working standards possible, being pro-active throughout

Work with Leadership team and Lead Installer on the Design, Plan and manage all Audio, TV, Aerial, Satellite, Multi Room, IT network, Wireless access, network switch, Sonos, access storage installs as requested

Diagnose and resolve issues with Sonos multi room audio systems, AV installs, and any other IT project

Identify install issues and seek a resolution in a timely manner

Ensuring that all customer briefs are documented and followed to the letter. When it is not possible to maintain a deadline when requested it should be your role to manage expectation accordingly.

Ensuring all request information is accurate and followed.

Deal with all customer enquiries in a professional and efficient manner

People

Ensure feedback is constantly given to the team and the Leadership team

Assist the Leadership team in building strong relationships with the team, always understanding and supporting them.

Carry out all training obligations and objectives given, taking a responsibility for your own personal development. You should also support your fellow team members to achieve their own objectives in any reasonable way possible.

Operations

Consult with Leadership team, implementing procedural and process changes as directed, always managing the impact of those changes.

Manage the schedules in an appropriate and efficient fashion

Learn and understand product range to facilitate sales ability

Ensure that all systems function appropriately and that any agreed SLAs are being met.

Keep company transport clean at all times, ensuring no tools are left in the vehicle overnight
