What you'll need to succeed

My client is looking for an experience Application Engineer , supporting a fast-paced and agile team managing numerous applications across the organisation.

The successful candidate will be able to configure and troubleshoot existing applications across the SQL and Oracle Database, you will be able to support across Application Engineering requirements covering C#\/Java\/PowerShell applications.

Additional requirements:

Knowledge required :

* Broad knowledge in implementing design patterns that lead to flexible, and easily maintained solutions
* Broad knowledge in configuring off the shelf systems\/software to minimise customisation
* Understanding of planning and management tools and techniques
* Broad knowledge of the full systems development life cycle in an Agile\/CI\/CD environment

Skills required :

* Good analytical, problem solving skills and good attention to detail
* Ability to translate specifications to software implementation of small\/medium, distributed systems
* Broad knowledge in recent version of at least one development language such as C#, SQL, Java, JavaScript and PowerShell
* Broad knowledge in industry standard development methodologies and tools
* Broad knowledge in industry standard content management tools and practices
* Broad knowledge in analysing and optimising database and application performance
* Ability to code\/configure hands-on using a defined Agile method
* Ability to develop incremental software for solutions in small\/medium scale and semi-complex environments
* Ability to produce estimates for own tasks with appropriate accuracy and precision
* Good written and verbal communication skills including ability to explain complex information with management.

This is an initial 6 month contract, all interviews will be conducted remotely.
