The Principal Employment and Skills Officer is an exciting role that will help deliver on the Council's Employment and Skills Agenda. It is designed to help:
*Build a co-ordinated response to unemployment and under-employment for those further from the labour market, particularly for young people.
*Commission employment and skills programmes and support opportunities for employment in growth sectors.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, dynamic, and engaging individual:
- With experience of commissioning and managing contracts for externally delivered employment and skills programmes.
- With a proven understanding of the barriers young people furthest from the labour market face to accessing work, and sound knowledge of sound knowledge of interventions that can support young people to accessing work.
- Be a self-starter, with the knowledge, skills, and experience to drive forward employment related projects, requiring regular liaison with a range of external stakeholders.

What you'll get in return
Salary \u00A345,834 - \u00A348,819 per annum.
